Troop 1000 supports a special High Adventure program called Venture Voyageurs. The program involves older scouts who are at least 13 years old and have attained the rank of Life Scout. Four to six venturing crews of approximately 4 to 6 scouts and adults work as one unit to plan and execute their trek to regions decided by the scouts themselves.

Past Treks journeyed to places as diverse as biking the Texas Hill country, "Out Island" adventure at Florida Sea Base, Hawaii, Alaska,the Highlands of Scotland, and in 2007, The crews went to Canada.

In 2004, the Venture Voyageurs pulled out their passports, got ready for jet-lag, and set out for the Highlands of Scotland.
In 2005, the Voyageur crews headed to the wilderness areas of Washington State to explore the incredible and diverse geography of the Northwest. From volcanoes to the thunder of surf in ocean side wilderness, to the high peaks of the Northern Cascades.
In 2006, the Voyageur crews headed to the northern section of Minnesota's Boundary Waters where each crew paddled and portaged different lakes across the state of 10,000 lakes. www.boundarywaters.com/GroupHighAdventure.html
In 2007, The crews flew to Great White North, eh! of the Canadian Rockies, for some amazing sites, hiking on glaciers and great rafting.
In 2008, the Crews exercised their passports for the 3rd time and headed off to Ireland for some incredible biking and hiking.
In 2009, the Crews biked and hiked the beautiful Adirondacks in upstate New York.
In 2010, the Crews are headed off to raft, hike and explore the mountains and rivers of Oregon.
